I saw the inner workings of a large scale event and managed to make myself useful in helping the event run smoothly by being wherever I was needed, I also think that this was a big achievement for myself during the internship due to the many skills I had developed and improved.
Some of the customer service emails were difficult to reply to as I given so many scenarios and it's difficult to find an answer that's accepted on both ends.
Customer service - Although I had this skills before from the hospitality industry, I learnt that there are different types of customer service that differ by industries as you learn that customer requirements are different.
Problem Solving - This internship massively helped me to improve my problem solving skills as I was given actual problems instead of theoretical ones.
Multi-tasking - I managed to improve on this as I had to learn to prioritise which tasks were more important and which tasks I could do immediately and which ones I couldn't.
Yes, it helped me realise that this is a real potential career path I could look into and I really enjoyed my time in the internship.
I really enjoyed my experience in this internship overall but there were moments where I was just ready to go home. As fun as this entire internship was, not every part was fun so you need to think about whether the good outweighs the bad. For me, it did by a massive amount!
